Spare parts for Chinese-built vessels
Your ship left a yard in Jiangsu, Zhejiang or Shanghai with pumps, valves, level switches, alarm panels, chargers, fans and galley equipment from makers that do not export. We buy from those makers every week, check the parts in our Shanghai warehouse and deliver to your door in Hamburg, Bremen, Rotterdam or wherever your office is.
Why this is hard from Europe, and why it is not from Shanghai
Chinese-built multipurpose vessels, feeders, bulkers and tankers are fitted with a long list of domestic equipment. The main engine is documented; the level switch in the bilge well is not.
The yard’s supplier list is in Chinese
Nameplates, drawings and the maker list from the building yard are often only in Chinese. We read them, identify the maker and confirm the exact part with the factory — in Chinese.
The makers rarely answer English emails
Most Chinese marine equipment makers are domestic suppliers to shipyards. They have no export desk. We are in Shanghai, we call them, and we visit when it matters.
Lead times nobody can confirm
A EUR 300 level switch can hold up a survey for weeks if nobody is chasing the factory. We buy from the maker, follow the order in person, inspect on arrival and ship door-to-door.

How an order runs
Send what you have
Nameplate photo, the yard’s spare part list, a drawing or just the maker name and model. Chinese-language documents are fine.
We identify and confirm
We match the item to the maker, confirm availability and lead time with the factory, and quote each line separately — usually within 24 hours on business days.
Inspection and packing
Every consignment is checked against the order on arrival in our Shanghai warehouse, photographed, and packed for courier or freight.
Door delivery in Europe
Express courier to Hamburg, Bremen, Rotterdam or any address you give us, or handed to your forwarder in Shanghai. Commercial invoice, packing list and HS codes included.
Ex-works Shanghai as standard. On request we quote freight as a separate line: express courier or air (CPT / CIP, typically 3–5 working days door-to-door within Europe) or sea freight to your port (CFR / CIF), Incoterms 2020. Or we hand over to your forwarder in Shanghai.
Itemised quotation in USD (EUR on request), each line with lead time and origin. Bank transfer; terms agreed per account.
Commercial invoice, packing list with weights and dimensions, HS codes for EU import. Maker’s certificates where issued, sent separately by email. Photo report of every consignment.

Questions we get from ship managers
Our vessel was built at a yard in Jiangsu or Zhejiang. Can you source from makers that are not on this list? +
Yes. The list shows makers we have already bought from; it is not a limit. Most Chinese marine equipment makers are within a day of Shanghai. Send the nameplate photo or the maker name from the yard’s list and we will locate the factory.
Do you supply the maker’s original parts or equivalents? +
For equipment we buy from the maker whenever the maker still produces the item. Where a part has been discontinued or a standard component (bearing, seal, O-ring to GB standard) is specified, we say so in the quotation. Every line states what it is.
Is there a minimum order? +
No. A single level switch, a set of O-rings or one charger board is a normal order for us. Small consumable orders are consolidated and sent by express courier.
How long does delivery take? +
Stock items typically leave our warehouse within one to two weeks of order. Express courier to most of Europe takes three to five working days; sea freight is quoted per shipment. Made-to-order items such as motors, crane parts or complete units are quoted with their own lead time.
Can you provide certificates and documentation? +
Maker’s quality certificates are available for most items; class product certificates exist only for equipment the maker has had type-approved, and we confirm this per line in the quotation. Certificates are sent separately by email, not packed with the goods. Commercial invoice, packing list and HS codes are standard for EU import clearance.
Do you work with spare parts traders and ship chandlers as well? +
Yes, on the same terms. Ship managers and owners buy from us directly, and trading companies and chandlers who serve them are long-standing customers too. We quote each enquiry on its own merits.
We only have Chinese-language drawings and part lists. +
That is the normal case for Chinese-built tonnage and it is fine. Send them as they are. We work in Chinese with the makers and reply to you in English.
