Our Story
TH Shipping Service started in 2017 with a simple observation. A large share of the marine engine spare parts sold in Europe were already being made in China — but they reached shipowners through three or four pairs of hands, each adding margin and delay, and none of them close enough to the factory to answer a technical question.
Our founders had spent over twenty years on the other side of that chain, in senior roles at one of the leading marine engine parts suppliers serving the European market. They knew which factories could be trusted with a cylinder liner and which could not, and they knew what a chief engineer actually needs when a generator engine is down in port.
So we set up in Shanghai, close to the factories, and built the company around one job: turning an enquiry — a parts list, a nameplate photo, a scanned page from a manual — into a checked, priced, deliverable quotation as quickly and accurately as possible.
What we supply
Two-stroke main engines: cylinder liners, piston crowns, exhaust valve spindles and seats, fuel pumps and injection components for RTA, RT-flex, MC and ME-series engines.
Four-stroke auxiliary engines: running spares and overhaul kits for L20, L16/24, L23/30H, L21/31 and DK-20/26 series generator engines — the engines that keep a ship's lights on.
More than 10,000 line items across 5,600 different part numbers have left our warehouse since 2017, from a single fuel nozzle sent by courier to full sets of liners crated for sea freight.
How we work
We keep the chain short. The person who answers your enquiry is the one who checks the part numbers, negotiates with the factory and signs off the packing list. To keep that possible as volumes grew, we built our own management system: AI-assisted part identification from photos and scans, automated quotation, supplier price comparison, freight calculation and customs paperwork in a single workflow. The system does the clerical work; our people do the judgement.
We are an independent supplier. We sell OEM-compatible parts made by specialised Chinese factories, and genuine OEM parts where a customer specifies them — and we tell you clearly which is which. We do not quote a part we cannot stand behind.
